COURSE DESCRIPTION: No doubt about it, your students are getting Chromebooks . . . are you ready? Do you know where or how to start? If you’re unsure, then this is the place to be! This course is divided into two parts: Part A - learn the basics of Chromebooks and how to use them in a school setting and Part B - learn how to create content in Canvas and use it effectively as a learning management system. So, come, take a hands-on approach to your learning – as a student and a teacher - and see what you can do to effectively teach a classroom filled with learners and digital devices.
CREDIT:1 hour of Drake EDMA credit or 1 hour of license renewal credit. The Drake credit registration fee is $110. A check made payable to West Des Moines Community Schools can be submitted at the first class, or a credit card payment can be made at the first class. There is no fee for license renewal credit. (The instructor will explain both options at the first class.)
